Wine

In this Post, I want to talk about the wine in Chiclana.
Chiclana's Wine has a lot of history before (It was the first Wine that is send to America) and one most famous things in Chiclana.

Chiclana is situated in the southwest corner of Andalucia, it is the privileged geographic triangle between the estuary of the river Guadalquivir, the Nationalpark Doñana, the Atlantic Ocean and the rolling hills around Jerez watered by the river Guadalete. Without doubt a fantastic microclimate with more than aprox. 300 days of sunshine per year, and that is fantastic for the vineyard. In the centre of Chiclana and the around's of this one you can find many wineries.

But if you go to the Countryside part of Chiclana you can find many vineyard. This vineyard are so beautiful but you can visit that because all the vineyard are private zones.

The most famous wine in Chiclana is the Fino Wine:

FINO (grape variety – Palomino)
Straw yellow colour, sharp aroma with soft almond flavour. Dry and light on the palate.
With an alcohol content of around 15 % this wine should be served between 7º and 9º C. This wine is appetizing and an excellent combination with Iberian ham, sea food and fish.

If you want to drink this kind of wine, you only have to find a bar and order it. Yes, in almost all the bars of Chiclana you can order a Fino Wine.

WATERSPORTS

Chiclana has a high potential regarding nautic activities. The beach of Sancti Petri, main site for watersports, is one of the most famous areas in Andalucia regarding sailing, windsurf, kayak, diving and sport fishing.

The natural harbour is located close to the estuary of the Caño Sancti Petri.
